“Oh, you’re that Spider-Kid that everyone’s been talking about,” Beca says completely calmly, like nearly being robbed and shot to death was a daily occurrence for her.
“Spider-Woman,” Emily can’t help but correct.
“Same difference, Spiderling,” Beca hums. “Don’t you have homework to do or something?”
“Uh, no, I finished that before I—” Emily stops herself when Beca’s face twitches as if hiding an amused smirk back, her eyes reflecting a smug look. “I mean, I don’t have homework because I am a completely grown adult woman and grown adult women do not have homework to do. Obviously.”
“Uh-huh, sure, kid,” Beca chuckles.

OR,Emily has been Spider-Woman for almost four years now and that certainly does not change when she starts college at Barden University. Nobody knows about her secret and she intends to keep it that way. But, when she becomes a Bella, things get a little…complicated.
