Summary
“Heard there was a party going on in here,” Neil announces from the doorway. “Figured I’d make an appearance.”
If this were any other time Charlie would’ve laughed at the arrogance in his tone, but not now. Not with the blood trickling from a cut directly under a still-forming black eye; not with the split lip that has blood dripping down Neil’s chin. “What the hell?” Charlie yells as he hurries over to where his best friend has flopped onto the ratty common room couch.
Neil shoots him a genuine yet weak smile. “You should see the other guy,” he says weakly, exhaustion audible in his voice.
Or: Neil gets into a fist-fight over Todd and Charlie attempts to take the blame. Only someone else gets there first.

"I'm being chased by Walt Whitman."
Todd didn't really know why that phrase carelessly yelled by his roommate hit him so loudly. Now that he was back in his room, sitting in front of his desk and bathing in the haze of this feverish dream of uttering an impromptu poem for his whole class and being applauded for it, Todd felt that his usually speeding mind was crowding his senses again.
And it couldn't mean any good.

Summary
Todd Anderson has mastered the art of going unnoticed. At Hogwarts, where magic hums in every corridor, he keeps to the background, overshadowed by louder voices and brighter personalities. But that doesn’t mean he doesn’t see.
Since his third year, his eyes lingered on Neil Perry. Charismatic, untouchable Neil. Neil is everything Todd is not. Neil is warm where Todd is hesitant, daring where Todd is careful.
Then, in his fifth year, everything shifts. In a single moment, the space Todd hid behind crumbles, and the boy who once seemed a world away is suddenly within reach—too close, too real. And despite Todd’s every instinct to retreat, Neil keeps showing up, unravelling the quiet existence Todd has carefully built.
But friendships don’t just happen to people like Todd. Surely, this is just a phase. A fleeting moment before Neil turns his attention elsewhere.
After all, Todd spent years invisible. Why should he suspect that someone sees him at all?A short light hearted fanfic reimagining the Dead Poets/AnderPerry at Hogwarts.
