I ran into Sage, the new farmer, today. Well, she ran into me.
Prince, responsibilities, and all that mean humans are out of the question. My mom will kill me if I date a human. Then bring me back to life so she can kill me again. She won’t succeed with that plan. She hates that my magic is more powerful than hers. Although, is Sage just human? My fingers still tingle from resting against her skin. That’s usually a sign of magic. Hers or mine? Both?
Glancing over my shoulder, I notice she’s still standing there, watching me walk away. Part of me likes that fact.
