From gentle and loving moments to make the heart sing, stories of hope and light to banish away the stygian clouds that threaten to choke and throttle our every step in this dark world, to moments of shadow and dark passion, where love blends with obsession and darker things yet still writhe in the sanguine pits of the heart neath the skin of those enraptured by the charms of the one they long for most of all.

“You’re making that face again,” Shalom murmured sweetly.
“Mm,” Rahu grunted.
“Tell me what it means.”
“It means,” Rahu mumbled self consciously, as she tried to pull her expression back into the tried and true neutral she had learned to employ as a recruit, “that I can’t believe you’re being serious right now.”
Shalom laughed, and her eyes narrowed with delight as she lifted the object she held in her hand. A simple collar, dark and thin. Sized not for a canine, but instead for a human.
“Don’t you like it?”
“Whether I like it or not–”
“Matters to me,” Shalom corrected.

The Sinner is standing in the middle of the darkness, her head tilted towards the clouds. Blue rain soaks her hair and streams down her face. Puffs of warm breath escape from her mask's bestial grin and vanish into the night.
She looks like she's been standing her for hours already, even though it's barely been twenty minutes since the alert.
Chief composes herself and steps back, not wanting to risk encroaching on Rahu's personal space any further.
