Summary
dying at marineford was bad enough.
waking up uninjured and being told he’s a damn marine is just insane.
at least his second in command doesn’t seem to be holding what happened when he woke up against him…?

portgas d. ace dies in the paramount war at marineford, and wakes up in an alternate universe where he's a vice admiral with a deeply apathetic and unmotivated second in command (a partnership for some reason decided on and enforced by whitebeard, who is apparently this world's fleet admiral). his second in command claims the only life he remembers to have been a vivid nightmare, but he's not so sure he isn't in a nightmare now.
