Summary
She locked eyes with Carvallain directly, defiantly, as she rolled her hips against the interloper’s.
Well? Ye gonna get up off yer arse an’ protec’ wha’s yers?
You gonna prove ye deserve me?
An east-meets-west pirate mixer gives our heroes the chance to come into contact with new people who don't know to fear the consequences of coming in between Carvallain and Rhoswen. Carvallain gets pissed, Rhoswen gets pissed off, and some random Confederate crewman is poised to reap the benefits.

Summary
It has been years since the Warriors of Light have been home — however they choose to define the word. Lleidspaer Grymhaswyn, Nia’a Tsara, and Vivimani Qiqimani have spent the past five years recovering, in their own ways. It hasn't been easy, having everything ripped away. But things are changing.
The difference in the air is nearly palpable: after five years of nursing their wounds, the city-states of Eorzea are noticing a shift: malignant factions — be they Serpent Reavers, Lambs of Dalamud, or Alacran — are starting to meddle. If ever there was a time for three Warriors of Light — forgotten by the world save for a dim memory of a hazy silhouette against the blinding light of Louisoix's salvation — it would be now.
Whether from the healing waters of Bronze Lake, from the well-trodden forest paths near Buscarron's Druthers, or from the dilapidated hamlet known as the Silver Bazaar, these once-brave heroes have spent years steeping in grief and stagnation. But the time has come for them to make their respective first steps toward reconciling with their destiny. They have no other choice: Hydaelyn is calling them.

Summary
“Is there something I can do for you?”
Carvallain’s voice was cool and measured, and his eyes on her were sharp. He had noticing her noticing him, caught her on the back foot. She had to remind herself to raise her chin proudly and square up her shoulders. She was not some scrawny, known-nothing wharf rat begging for scraps, had not been that for more than a decade.
“Aye,” she said crisply. “Aye, I — I challenge ye to a contest o’ courage.” She levelled her best double-dog-dare-you stare straight at him.
He just shrugged. “Not interested.”
“What ‘n th’ seven bleedin’ hells d’ye mean ye’re not int’rested? Ye’re always int’rested.”
The one time Rhoswen invites Carvallain to play and he turns her down, followed immediately by his absolute inability to stand by his decision to turn her down.

Summary
Imagine, very many years from now, an ancient house: solid stone, richly appointed, eaves creaking in the wintry winds. A young person climbs a narrow set of stairs to the attic, where generations of her family have stored the combined remnants of their lives. She swiftly passes many dusty artefacts to kneel before a sealed chest: chalcocite, studded with polished larimar, with a broken lock that no longer catches quite right. She tips back the lid, shines her lantern upon the contents . . .

Rhoswen's been breaking the rules, and she's walked right into Carvallain's trap. He could turn her over to the Admiral, probably should . . . but he has a better idea.

Summary
Following the not-entirely-Final Days, the Admiral sends the jewels of her fleet across the ocean to the New World with a treasure map and a mission: to retrieve a long-lost cache of diamonds.
But with Merlwyb's three primary captains working together more closely than ever before (and an Ishgardian knight), there's plenty to discover -- about themselves and each other -- that's not marked on any map.

Suffice it to say that the only way Carvallain and Rhoswen would ever talk about their feelings is literally the apocalypse.

Rhoswen interrupts Carvallain's peaceful evening (well, as peaceful as it can ever be said to get in a pub frequented by pirates).

Summary
Years before they were captains on their own respective ships, Carvallain de Gorgagne and Rhoswen Leach were ordinary crew hands trying to make a life for themselves on the high seas. It was a different time, and they were different people . . . but one time, on All Saints' Wake, they encountered each other as strangers in a bar.
Some things don't change.

Summary
Emmanellain wouldn’t be home for starlight.
It couldn’t be helped. The Astalicia was to embark on a very important voyage — to not oversee it personally would be to strangle their business before it had a proper chance to grow. It would be their first trip across the meridian, a milestone for every merchant worth their salt. If all went well, they’d be able to secure trading deals in Thanalan.
Or so he’d said in his letters home.

Summary
This- this wasn't a problem. The young heir to Count Durendaire had ‘died’ when Emmanellain was but a small child. There was no chance Emmanellain would recognize him by looks alone. Sure, if Emmanellain saw fit to tell his older brother or his new friend in the contingent Stephanivien de Haillenarte (another name Carvallain had intentionally been trying to forget), it would likely be a disaster. But that required Emmanellain to spend long enough around Carvallain, know who he is, and completely lack the decency to leave him to his devices. Surely that chain of events was so unlikely, near impossible if Carvallain played his cards right. It would be fine.
Sicard laughed with his whole chest. “Emm, I've got to take you to Kugane.”
Carvallain was absolutely fucked.
or, carvallain has to try to break up the two most annoying people in eorzea to protect his identity
