“Robert Sugden-Dingle,” he said curtly.
“Hello Mr Sugden-Dingle, I’m glad I reached you.” The friendly, female voice sounded somewhat familiar, but Robert couldn’t place it. “I already tried your husband’s phone, but he didn’t pick up. Do you have a moment?”
“Aaron’s on a business run,” Robert explained, a frown forming on his forehead. “Did something happen? Who is this?” Immediately his mind sought for the worst and ended up with various scenarios where one of their kids was involved in an accident or something like that.
“Oh, I’m sorry,” she laughed, “It’s Ms Russell. From the Hotten adoption agency.”
