Rumors of white haired children have always floated around.These rumors never failed to grace the presence of the lowborns. It was easy to know where they came from, just by the color of their head, if you're fortunate enough, the amethyst shade of their eyes.
In Harennhal, this rumor was a hidden truth. Lyonel Strong’s oldest child was a bastard born from a white-haired purple eyed woman he’d met near the God’s Eye, who was rumored to be a bastard daughter of the late King Jaeherys. It was this instance that made for a quick betrothal to a highborn lady and an even quicker birth of his second child who would be heir. Of whom this woman really was, it was a mystery to everyone including the child. He kept the child, gave her a name, a title, and servants. Rhaenyra was still finishing dismounting Syrax when Alicent’s body collided with hers, almost knocking her over the dragon.
From head to toe, every single bit of Rhaenyra was wet against Alicent's body. Her braided hair damp over her head, her riding gloves letting out drops of water when she moved her fingers, her shoes now submerged in the giant poodle that was the grass beside the road wherein no better state before she landed.
Yet she did not shiver from the cold of the storm. Alicent shivered like a person struck by The Shiverin in their last day on earth.
Rhaenyra felt warm and solid against her.
Her warmth filled the hole in Alicent's chest a bit, her awful but familiar smell of dragon helping Alicent breathe a little.
