Summary
Lorelei was hardly the ideal choice when conversing and working with new groups of people - this was certainly obvious after meeting the angara and allying herself with them. She figured that her brother, Magnus, would have been the better mediator between the Initiative and the Resistance, but they were stuck with her.
However, she knew that the leader of the Resistance, Evfra de Tershaav, was more reliant on actions rather than pretty words.
She would nurture this budding alliance and Havarl is simply the starting point.Series

Summary
Even after the ali- no, not alien, Pathfinder Ryder- had shown him his past life as Zorai, and the battle for Meridian had solidified the Angaran's alliance with the Initiative, Taavos is still unsure of how to feel about everything. He had spent some time at Mithrava. First Sage Esmus did his best to change his hatred of aliens into something productive. But Taavos continues to struggle with his faith, his memories, and the reality of his former position as a Roekaar Commander.
It is when he's visiting his family that he meets Arley, the first non-Angaran to take an interest in him. Taavos doesn't know how to respond. And he certainly doesn't know how to feel about the fact that he starts to enjoy her company.
