Lucifer had always been fascinated by Alastor’s power. He’d always loved watching him fight—from that first day at the hotel, when Alastor had torn apart those loan sharks who dared to threaten his friend. But this was different. Bullets and sinners were one thing; angelic steel was another entirely. This wasn’t a scuffle. This was extinction waiting to happen.

Lucifer could lose him.
