Summary
Vampires are known to be possessive and territorial of their mates, even the gentlest and controlled vampires are also prone to be fighting once their mate is threatened.
Tom was an old friend of Carlisle, he had helped the doctor during his newborn years, specifically when he was starving himself to insanity. Tom left Carlisle once he found his footing as a vampire and kept in touch with him through letters and phone calls as the years grew by.
Then he decided to visit him at his new home located in Forks, there he recognized his old friend’s first creation as his mate and wondered what he had done in his previous life to find his mate being stupid and just…well stupid enough to think a human could be a vampire’s mate!
