Summary
It was a doctor in Clivesdale responsible for the cure for the Apotheosis. He saved everyone. Hatchetfield could go back to normal, after a bit of rebuilding, of course.
Paul Matthews and Emma Perkins were the only two who knew the truth. Having both been only half-infected, they both retained their memories of the whole ordeal. They knew why Mamma Mia was the only show at the Starlight Theater after that. They knew the world could collapse again with any passing day.
They weren't expecting it to happen seven years later, and they certainly weren't expecting it to be the one day they agreed to take their daughter to the theater.
