Post-Crookedstar's Promise AU, where four kits were born to Willowbreeze and Crookedstar instead of three, following the fourth kit, but occasionally switching perspectives. Set immediately after Crookedstar's Promise and goes up to 1YBF, or a year before Firestar came to the forest. This is about Crookedstar's kin, so expect Mapleshade to make an appearance.
Side note, Willowbreeze's kitting takes place during leaf-fall of 3YBF rather than 2YBF.
The slanted sections before and after the 'regular sections' are the internal thoughts of the character, a bit like a diary.
