Summary
“Then what am I to you?”
The question lingers in the air between them. Lee Chang then finally speaks up, “Someone I trust to stand by me.” ‘Someone I want to keep by my side, always. Someone, I want to hold close and cherish.’ “Someone, who I hope won’t leave me behind,” he finishes instead.
In a bold move, one that Yeong-shin has rarely done outside of dangerous situations, the tiger hunter grasps onto Lee Chang’s wrist, pulling on it so that the prince is looking down into his eyes. What then passes between them is a silent promise that shouldn’t be made because there’s no guarantee that it can be kept. But it’s a promise nonetheless, and looking into Yeong-shin’s eyes, Lee Chang knows that it’s a promise not of a soldier to his commander, but something more personal and intimate.

Following a potential lead on the trader of the Ressurection Plant, Lee Chang, Yeong-shin, and Min Chi-rok enter an abandoned village, where old memories and promises are dug up and put to the test as they face an endless sea of monsters. As they fight for survival, Lee Chang also fights to keep Yeong-shin by his side, but can he succeed?
