Techno slammed around the corner, lockers crunching behind him as he pulled his hand to his chest with a gasp. Students swapped around him, unhindered in their eagerness to get home for the weekend, probably going to some party later tonight.
Techno needed to move. He needed to get out of here, to leave before—
“Oh, my Gods!” Wilbur cried, somewhere between elated and shocked. The crowds stuttered to a halt, surging and backtracking with confusion, interest, and desire. What happened to the stare of the school? Why could make his voice crack and brighten and lift above the weekend din?
