Summary
A story sparked by my obsession with Astarion because I'm pathetic.
(first person pov)
Darcy (Tav) made a mistake trusting the wrong person and now it's coming back to bite her in the ass in the form of cursed wound. She's always been gullible, it's a problem, especially in a world like this. She hides her injury from her companions, not wanting to seem like a liability but ultimately ends up having to tell someone when her magic starts to weaken. She turns to Astarion, the only one who she think will give an honest opinion without letting feelings cloud his judgement. She knows he doesn't care about her and that he's only helping her for his own gain, so why is it that every time he looks at her does her heart beat a little faster?
