Summary
“Seeing the future, if done too often, can leave phycological ruin that chips away at a soul until it is unrecognisable. As you yearn to see more of the future, your present dies. You begin to forgot everything about your own current self if you do not be cautious when using such a curse.” Draxum warns him that day.
“Everything?” Mikey whispers.
The yokai nods once.
Suddenly the prospect of his mystics dims. Excitement coils into trepidation.
But he blinks, and sees Leo’s broken body in the infirmary. Takes a deep breath, and hears the distressed tears of his brothers as they stare at that terrible, terrible sky.
Never again, he promises.
“Teach me.”~
After the events of the movie, Mikey discovers that, with the increase in his mystic power, he gains the ability to see the future. However, every time he does, he forgets some of his present.
Year after year, a gift twists into a curse, crumbling the relationships between brothers and ultimately ending in a terrible price.
But Mikey made a promise all those years ago, and intends to keep it.TLDR: Mikey sees the future until he forgets everything of his present.
