John Watson, in an attempt to get more time away from home and his abusive father, gets involved in the behind-the-scenes of the performance. He's helping out with lighting and set design, that sort of thing, when he meets the fantastic dancer, and truly learns the meaning of 'somewhere in-between'.

Steve stared at the gauntlet in his hands, then looked up to make eye contact with Red Skull. “I’ve been told to tell you I have come to bargain,” he lifted his chin. The metal felt cold against his fingers, despite the power thrumming through his hands, the contact making his skin vibrate.
“A bargain is to be made, Steven Rogers?” Red Skull’s head tilted. “For what?”
“For a life,” Steve held up the stones. “I bring back the stone you guard, you bring me back someone who was lost.”
“Those sacrificed for the stone’s retrieval cannot be returned.”
“I know that,” Steve felt his heart racing. “I know that she can’t be brought back – We’re dealing with that. We’re making peace with that."
