"I’m gonna check his pulse, and if he's dead then you're clear, but if he's faking it and you two are running a scam, well..." James patted the large knife dangling from his hip, a silent warning to keep his distance, "I like my odds now that his gun is way over there."
“Dude, do I look like I’m friends with him?” Aleks asked, almost haughtily.
“You look like trouble.”

Summary
Deacon wants exactly expecting there to be *two* people who came out of Vault 111. He wasn’t expecting one of those to be in power armour. He definitely wasn’t expecting Silvia Ayad.
A story exploring a Lone Wanderer who doesn’t want any of this, and a Sole Survivor who just wants to find her son.
“He was not expecting the thumping steps of power armour. A heavy, mechanical step, where each servo whirred with movement. He could see two people- a woman in a vault suit, with Ginger hair and bright green eyes, shaking a bit, and clutching onto the power armoured figure at her side. Power armour always made someone taller, so it wasn’t strange that the vault dweller’s companion was over a head taller than her, and had an arm thrown over her shoulder, seemingly holding her up, like a sack of tatoes- but with more care.”
