“Are you ok?” He finally manages, hating this silence, hating seeing something wrong in Jaskier and not being able to fix it. There’s immediate regret that he’s bypassed the laws of whatever was between them, that he’s overstepped and invaded Jaskier’s privacy.
The reply is simple and quiet and expected. “I’m fine.”
“Jaskier-” Geralt prompts before he can stop his tongue.
