Against his better judgement, he reached out with the only hand that he knew would work. It was trembling and barely made it anywhere at all, more shuffling against the ground than anything, but that didn’t matter. Nothing he attempted to do ever mattered in the end.
He quickly lost consciousness after hearing the familiar sound of an ambulance siren in the distance growing closer.
