Summary
"Feeling the bass in your chest, the music in your heart, having the lights spark your mind, that's what my idea of paradise is."
More than anything, Clay has always been ambitious and yearned to be at the top. With his dexterity with the guitar, people really begin to acknowledge his abilities. After a successful audition, his dreams finally come true. During a long wait, he flies to Orlando where his new life will be flooded with fame and riches. Throughout the nights filled with laughter and warmth, feelings begin to change. George has a new-found adoration for his friend, a small crush that ends up exploding into something that may make or break their friendship. Maybe this new paradise will give him the opportunity to explore how he really feels about his best friend.
Inspired by the song "The Other Side Of Paradise" by Glass Animals.

Summary
He's really hot too. Stupidly tall and fresh-faced, a betraying warmth along his cheeks when he's playing an important shot, at odds with the cool intentions of his expression.
Alex has occasionally dipped into the pool game. One time, two states over and a million years ago, he actually shacked up with a girl for all of two months that he met from betting on people. It didn't end well. Women are as unfathomable as men.
Alex has emptied the line of shots and is unembarrassed by the fact that he's openly looking at this college student.
The guy pretends to ignore him, then turns to meet Alex's gaze. "Something I can help you with?" His tone is wary rather than confrontational, curious.
