Summary
And then, one night, there was a post he didn’t mean to click: a photo of a dog cage, open at the front, tucked into a corner, clearly not for dogs, turned into something else entirely. Blankets, string lights, stuffed animals stacked like clouds of fuzzy textures and inviting faces.
It was a strange post. It felt like the kind of internet joke you reblog just to laugh at, or to send to friends and shame the posters, or simply something to ignore.
But he didn’t laugh, and he certainly didn’t shame the poster publicly or privately.
But god did he try to ignore it.
