A few months passed since Cú’s Prototype form stepped out from the brilliant lights of the summoning sigil. From the way Proto’s gaze lingered on me as we passed each other, I wondered how much he remembered. If he remembered. From the way we moved in tandem on the battlefield, to how he anticipated my orders as if I felt familiar to him—the circuits in my body screamed out that he was familiar.
