Summary
“Why don’t you stay with me?” the young man asks, “You’re welcome to live with me if you’d like.”
The younger boy gasps, his eyes wide in shock and disbelief. “What? You’re being serious?”“Yeah! I mean, you look exhausted and you’re currently homeless, right? Someone as young as you doesn’t deserve to live like this.” The young man responds, feeling a sense of sadness and empathy for the young struggling boy.
He didn’t know if he should accept it…but then again, this guy looked kind, and what if…what if he wasn’t like the rest? No. He can’t be thinking like this. He needs to accept it, otherwise he’ll lose his only opportunity to leave his bitter, daunting, and dire past behind–and to finally be able to move on, to be happy–free of the chains that held him back. The younger male’s voice became brittle, and his eyes shone with happiness, feeling immensely grateful.
“I…Yes…I-I’d love that…Thank you, truly.”
