  Summary

  Some souls that wink out in the forest do not go gracefully into that good night.
  The Beast claws, scrapes, and lawyers its way back to life and prematurely celebrates this as a victory. It is not. But it's not the end of the world, either, if it can be flexible and smart about the long con.

  The Woodsman and his daughter are trying to find their lives again after years separated. There's love, there's nostalgia, there's miscommunications, there's missing pieces; there's everything that could be expected of their situation. It would just be a lot more comfortable if they didn't feel like they were being watched and judged by a shadow peanut gallery the whole time. (It would be even better if they didn't have to know there was, in fact, a peanut gallery in the shadows that they both have every right to wish was dead.)
