Summary
When Maris found herself cornered in a rain-slick London alley by the fanatics who had been hunting her for years, the last thing she expected was Alucard. The vampire who stepped out of the shadows didn’t save her out of mercy—he marked her, pulling her into his orbit and into Hellsing’s war.
Now, Maris is caught between forces she doesn’t understand: the Vatican’s hounds closing in, Integra’s leash pulled tighter around the monster who protects her, and an ancient shard of divinity whispering in her blood. Every cut, every drop spilled, draws Alucard closer—not out of hunger alone, but to some truth he won’t speak, and to something older, stranger, and more dangerous awakening beneath her skin.
They are drawn to each other in ways neither fully comprehends—and though Maris resists, even just barely, the pull is relentless, threatening to unravel the fragile line between monster and human. In the silence between predator and prey, a new kind of danger stirs.
