Caitlyn has no memory of her childhood. She doesn't know the origin of the scar on her left eye or why she can still see through that eye. Sometimes, she can even see things that aren’t there.
The only time the strange visions stop is when she is with Vi, her roommate and partner in the special force where they work together to eliminate the mysterious beasts appearing on their continent.

Summary
Vi is dying of terminal liver cancer and only has two months left to live.
