Summary
The idea of a marriage proposal for Izuku’s 25th birthday was just meant to be a joking idea from Mina. Just a silly option to help Katsuki figure out a present that could possibly top the gift of a billion yen super suit the year prior.
Katsuki can never joke in regards to Izuku, though. So he’s spent the last month running around to make sure this proposal goes off without a hitch. It’s only inevitable that Izuku would see through his thinly veiled excuses of late night missions and errands for the Commission.
Izuku handles the fact that Katsuki is hiding something from him just about as well as one could expect– level headed and not jumping to any horrible conclusions.

Summary
The masked man tilts his head down, then back up slowly. Katsuki almost doesn’t notice it, too shocked at receiving a reaction from the stoic figure. But he knows it–that was a nod.
What does he want? Katsuki is desperate to find out and give it freely. Anything to make him react, grunt, finally touch him.
Katsuki gulps around his dry throat, and shakily squeezes the meat of his tit.
The man moves his head again, nodding a bit more clearly this time.
Oh. Oh? He wants Kastuki to keep touching himself?

7/29/25: hehe it’s been a while since I read this last but it’s magic. It really transported me there with them, and I felt everything so deeply. It’s so beautiful and so whole and perfect, it absolutely holds up over time and absolutely wrecked me as much as the first time. Maybe because I knew what was coming and the first time I didn’t figure it out until the last possible second, but this reread felt like I was savoring it all over again. This one just really means something to me and it’s so lovely that I can come back and read it <3

“Un-fucking-believable.” Kacchan snapped, cutting him off as he sucked on his teeth. “You,” the omega pressed, lifting his hand back up before jabbing a finger into the center of his chest, “are fucking unbelievable. You hear me, Deku?”
He winced with each harsh poke to his sternum, and clenched his own teeth.
“I’m sorry,” he wheezed out, voice tight and choked-up as he tried to keep himself from huffing on the omega’s scent. “I didn’t… I didn’t know that the expedition would take us years…”
It was a flimsy excuse and he knew that Kacchan saw right through it.
His pointed scoff was enough proof.
OR: Alpha warrior Izuku Midoriya returns to his pack after a three year long expedition with only one thought on his mind: to make the omega he had imprinted on as a pup his mate. When he realizes Kacchan is nowhere to be found upon his arrival, he goes out of his way to seek him out and fulfill his promise. Kacchan isn't enthused--but when he ends up diving head first into Heat Sickness, they both have a revelation.

Izuku recalls the first time Katsuki shyly confessed, a deep blush coloring the tips of his ears and a poorly masked scowl on his face. He admitted that he likes it when Izuku touches him in his sleep. Katsuki wanted Izuku to kiss him, touch him, to do things while he slept. He explained that if he woke up during those moments, a rush of pleasure and thrill coursed through him, and if he didn’t wake, those feelings were intensified—doubled.
The trust that comes with this is profound. Katsuki trusts Izuku with his unconscious body, his sleeping form, his most vulnerable state.
Or
Izuku doesn’t sleep well and when Kacchan looks so soft, warm and malleable next to him, he can’t help but just touch.
