Half of Sonic wanted someone to catch him, he wanted word to spread about his nightly activities. He wanted it to happen just so he could see the looks on his friends' faces, on Shadow’s face, when they found out he was no better than a common whore on the street corner. That he’d hidden something so grand for months from everyone. That he’s sleeping with anyone with a deep voice, just so he can pretend it’s his rival telling him ‘good job.’

Summary
If there was one truth about Shadow, it was that always stayed on task. His focus was as sharp as a blade, his hands always landed where he intended them to, his attention always where it needed to be, his eyes only observed relevant sights and his ears picked up information as clearly as the stones in Rouge’s gem collection.
He was precise, as acute as the red laser from his sniper.
That all came crashing down in a pile of ash and destruction, crushed and stomped on (by incredibly powerful legs), on a Tuesday afternoon.

“Oh, I already know that, Sonic.” Shadow’s hold tightens around Sonic’s neck, “But that’s not what I asked, is it?”
Sonic’s blood runs cold and it feels like ice is shooting painfully through his veins. Sonic’s stomach drops in a way that makes him feel dizzy.
“W-what?” He asks, unable to form words from the shock.
“Oh? You didn’t think I knew who you were, did you?”
---------------------------------------------------------Shadow is a military asset and Sonic is a hired killer. There's going to be blood.

Shadow overhears a conversation between Sonic and Amy that hints at a part of Sonic's past he's never heard about. The revelation unsettles Shadow deeply, sparking a storm of internal thoughts. What happened? Does Shadow need or deserve to know? Does Sonic not trust him?
Even worse, Shadow has to face the fact that in the past, he hurt someone he loves in the present.
OR, does anyone think about Shadow having guilt about them fighting when they were rivals if they're now lovers, especially if those fights did damage?
