Summary
Vela has been crushing hard on Owen since she got into Sandrock, but doesn't have any confidence in her performance... until she falls into a hole with Qi and they locate a book about sex positions. So she begins to "research" with Qi... and a can of worms and feelings is opened up and set on the counter, effectively forgotten about and ignored, until it's a little too late.
Warnings are for things that happen in Moonlight Running and Chasing Sleep, respectively, but will be addressed and mentioned in this fic!

Sister Story to Catching Starlight. All the love to Caeshura for helping me with this frustrating little plot baby.
Possible at some point they will take over writing entirely, with just my edits and commentary.Selene leaves Portia after Arlo gets married. She moves to Sandrock to start over and falls for Owen at the Blue Moon Saloon. What she doesn't know is that her new friend Vela also has eyes for the barkeep. Complications and Miscommunications abound in the angst machine. If that's your thing do enjoy!
SUPER BIG IMPORTANT CONTENT WARNING: Pen is portrayed unfairly here as an absolutely horrible human being. There is eventually attempted (and successful) sexual assault in these chapters as a catalyst for some of the darker themes of the plot.
There are also some depictions of violence that are, while not graphic are made abundantly clear what was injured.

Summary
Chasing Sleep follows 2 main characters...
Rem and Mint are both Orphans from Vega 5, who were both adopted -- either by new parents or by a career -- and were able to break free of the bureaucracy of Vega 5. But Rem leaves her internship, where she was on her way to be a tailor, to go to Portia when Selene picks up her life and leaves to Sandrock, in the hopes of re-uniting with her childhood crush...
Meanwhile, Mint jumped on the rollercoaster of emotions that Selene and Qi are riding, in an attempt to help his best friends, and isn't looking for love... except...IMPORTANT CONTENT WARNINGS:
Pen is portrayed unfairly here as an absolutely horrible human being. There is eventually attempted (and successful) sexual assault in these chapters as a catalyst for some of the darker themes of the plot.
Pen aside, there are moments in Chasing Sleep that border on non-consensual.

I love Unsuur. Everything he says and does is amazing to me. This fic is centered around a head-cannon I have about him that is absolutely crazy but I think it works. Since it's also central to the plot you'll have to wait for the story to reveal it!
This work is set in the same AU as the other stories in Nighttime Treasures, though it should stand alone without needing you to read the other fics to understand what is happening. The Moon and the Star
Sandrock is a busy town, despite being so small, and has a lot going on in it. With three builders - Mi-an, Selene, and Vela - it's a lot easier to keep up with the work. But the relationship aspects remain messy for builders Selene and Vela...Sleep
