Louis shouldn't have brought out the tequila. Or the beer.
Above all, he shouldn't have invited Harry into his house. Because now there's soft music playing in the background, like always, and Harry’s splayed out on his couch easily, staring up at the ceiling, and it looks like he’s always belonged there.
“You're so drunk,” Louis says after Harry passes him the tequila and Harry snorts, then giggles.
“Haven't gotten this drunk since I finished the record.”
Louis flinches a little at the mention, but tries to school his expression into something motionless, something void of any feelings.
“The record,” he slurs a little, and he knows, somewhere deep deep down where he still feels rational, that he shouldn’t be asking it, “is it about me?”
Harry huffs a dry laugh, then takes a long sip of tequila, only wincing a little bit when the liquid hits the back of his throat, probably. “What’s not about you?” He shakes his head, then adds, quietly, “anything I do is for, because, or about you, Louis.”
