Yoongi braces his elbows on the table, leans in just a bit. “I dreamed we fought.”
Silence. “Your fantasy is that we have a fight?” Taehyung frowns. “Do you want to roleplay a break-up or—”
“Not that kind of fight.”
Taehyung squints his eyes and Yoongi can see the cogs in his brain working. Then, he blinks and his lips go slack. “Oh.”
Yoongi nods. “Not like—punches or anything like that. But we were—I think we were trying to pin the other down.”
Taehyung breathes in, a bit too quick and too sharp for it to be casual. After a moment, he asks, “Did you win?”Or, Yoongi has fantasies, Taehyung indulges him.

Taehyung swallows. “You don’t have to.”

This gets Taehyung to actually look at Yoongi and he squints his eyes. “Are you—you’re into it, aren’t you?”
Yoongi tries suppressing a smirk and fails miserably. Taehyung rolls his eyes, even though he spreads his legs. Just a little. “Maybe.”
“Didn’t know spending money on lingerie got you off.”
“Choosing the lingerie you’ll wear gets me off.”or, it's Yoongi's birthday and Taehyung ends up being the present.

“Are you -”
“No.” Yoongi shakes his head. “I -” He cuts off, eyes trained on where blood trails from his finger. The same finger that Taehyung just cut open.
Taehyung knows what this means, even if Yoongi says no. He knows how it works. Everyone knows how it works.“You’re my soulmate.”
Yoongi’s gaze slowly moves to where Taehyung is still kneeling on the floor. He stares down at him, expression completely blank. There is no happiness, no smile of recognition and relief. None of the things that Taehyung expected to see when he found his soulmate. Just a cold stare.

Taehyung has waited anxiously for the day he would finally meet his soulmate. Each bump and bruise that appeared on his skin over the years was just a reminder that his other half was out there. So everything should be great when Taehyung meets his soulmate at his new job. But Yoongi makes it clear he’s not interested in Taehyung, or having a soulmate at all.
