Summary
Spencer is perfectly happy; he's a professor at Penn State, living on his own and enjoying his perfectly pleasant life.
At least, that's what he tells himself.
But one day, he runs into Jack Hotchner, and the past he thought he had pushed behind himself starts to bubble up again.
Along with the alluring possibility of meeting once again with Hotch, Spencer finds himself diving headfirst into something he's not sure if he can stop.Bookmarked by AshSelwyn

Summary
“We are so sorry, Miss.” Hotch speaks then, voice pleasant and gentle in a way his work persona usually isn't. “We must have missed the name cards at the entrance. You see, my husband here is a bit skittish around crowds and we didn't expect this many people to be here. I wanted to allow him a moment to adjust in peace before we start to give our instructions.” His boss slides an arm around his waist, drawing him close in a way that seems so intimate and easy to any outsider, and also happens to be an absolute contrast to the inner turmoil Spencer is facing. “But you're getting used to it. Aren't you, sweetheart?”
If Spencer had been any less prepared to keep up an act, he might have audibly squeaked at that.
Sweetheart. Sweetheart.
Sweetheart.
