Summary
On Jensen's first day at his newly assigned firehouse, his epically bad luck nearly proves to be his undoing, when the building he's in collapses around him. But he escapes unharmed, and his rescue is credited to his new lieutenant, Jared. But Jensen can't seem to shake the feeling that something mysterious occurred, because he distinctly remembers feeling like he was flying. But that couldn't be possible, right? Because if there were large, winged creatures skulking about, someone would have noticed, right?
Jensen's sleep had always been plagued by disturbing dreams, but then Jared begins to make nightly appearances, and he is forced to re-examine everything he thought was true. And wonder if fairy tale creatures aren't as completely made up as he thought they were.

Summary
This is a gift-fic, meant as a thank you for the co-authors of "How Long?" Their story truly connected with me personally and as a result, I was inspired to give back a little bit.
This timeline picks up right after How Long? ends. It starts out quite fluffy and is somewhat lighter in tone than the original work (this is intentional.) In the OG work, Dean Winchester gets ignored and all but abandoned by Sam and John. The only one who's paying attention at all is Bobby Singer. It's a rough road for Dean and the only reason he's still alive is because of Bobby's dogged determination.
Do you remember the gift that Sam claimed was all Jess's idea? That box he handed to Dean before Bobby chased Sam off that night? In my interpretation, that gift box contained a magnificent peace offering. ^_^
Yet in true Winchester fashion, the boys have gotta go through a few curly-cue loop-de-loop plot points before they get the type of resolution (vengeance??) we've all fantasized about! Enjoy!!!
