Fourth entry (out of nine) for the Mini-Comfortember 2024 challenge. Prompts and rules are here on Tumblr if you want to participate! I can't write Comfortember without revisiting my comfort pairing: Mandomera. So here's a little extra moment at the end of Satellites, although you don't need to have read the story to enjoy it: in this modern AU, Din and 12 year old Grogu have recently been reunited and are figuring out how to be a family again. And maybe a trip to Sorgan might help them!

Summary
AU universe, in which removing your helmet does not go unpunished for a Mandalorian. The members of the covert are in charge of determining the apostate’s fate. Otherwise all canon compliant until E16 “The Rescue”, where Din gets to keep Grogu. Din and Grogu, together, they find the covert, mostly as occurs in E5 of TBOBF. This fanfic takes off from where Din accepts Paz’s duel for the DarkSaber.

Since Grogu left with the Jedi, Din Djarin has been struggling to adjust to life without him and the realization that not all Mandalorians follow the same Creed has forced him to re-evaluate who he is and what path he must now follow. With the Darksaber now in his possession, new threats arise to challenge him and he finds an unexpected ally in former Jedi, Ahsoka Tano.

Summary
About ten years before episode one of the show. Omera, a woman from Sorgan traveling as part of a vigilante group, has a chance encounter with a Mandalorian bounty hunter that changes everything. They find they need each other to ensure their survival when they’re far from the people and places they know. Set in the "Star Wars" Universe, but veers off canon a decade before the first episode of "The Mandalorian."
Rating changes in chapter 5 (and a bit in chapter 4).
