    “What if I did this, what if I did that. I spent almost 30 years with my what if's.” Yuri explained. “What if I had talked to you sooner, that first day you walked into my art room. If I kept on with my what if's, I might have never tried to talk to you.”

    He looked down at Charley, sun still shining on his hair, and smiled. Charley might have metaphorically melted. “I might have never got that happy ending.”

    And then his lights start to flicker, and in an attempt to find the landlord, he approaches his neighbor.
