Summary
Michelangelo goes missing, and is found bearing heavy surgical scars, severe burn marks, cracks and breaks in his shell, and evidence of total violation - all signs of being experimented on and discarded. The family struggles to break through the aftereffects, which include vicious flashbacks with violent emotional reactions. Leonardo tries meditation to reach him and unleashes Mike's bizarre and horrific coping mechanisms, which are far darker than the family had expected.

Summary
Splinter and Shredder are dead. But this time, both Leo and Karai ended Shredder. Mikey has been psionic and helpful. The Turtles have grown closer thanks to psychic bonding giving them each unique sensory abilities. There is a wealth of new relationship energy as friendships shift and grow. Lurking beyond a home struggling to heal after unending tragedies, something even darker waits to devour what it claims belongs to it. Mikey is both the only one who can destroy it and the one who might be destroyed in trying.
Direct prequel to "Children Of The Sun" signifying the end of the Mikey The Lifegiver series, which eventually diverges into The Sunshine Child series because I said so.

Leo is back from Japan. Karai is defeated. The turtles are getting settled into a new home. Donnie is well again!
But not everyone is fine. Specifically, Donnie and Mikey. They're distant, clingy, hurting and seem content to plug their ears and hope it goes away.
