Summary
Wade scoffs, shaking his head and elbowing Peter in the side. “Sure,” he says, sarcastic. “That’s why your spidey-sense doesn’t see me.”
Peter’s on the verge of laughing, wanting to join Wade in his amusement, but he freezes. His entire body goes still. He finds himself staring at a roof three buildings over, not even looking at anything. Two blocks away, a car alarm finally shuts off.
“I never told you that,” Peter says, the realization startling him.
Or: Peter's starting to realize just how much Wade knows about him.

Summary
Ambered eyes find Illumi the moment he enters the dining hall, flickering up as if on instinct. Hisoka has always been sensitive to the presence of Nen; Illumi’s Nen is all consuming, apparently, volatile and swarming under the surface, and he believes it, if the look in Hisoka’s eyes when he nears is anything to go by.
"Have you ever seen an outbreak of locusts?" Hisoka had asked him, when they were both still teenagers. A long time ago; Illumi remembers it well, remembers how reluctant he’d been to engage with Hisoka, the elastic pull of allure he’d felt despite the annoying set of his bubblegum pink lips. "That’s what your Nen looks like. To an outsider, at least. Don’t give me that look. I mean it as a compliment. I like it."
The memory makes his jaw twitch. Hisoka grins, sharp white teeth proudly displayed; he can detect Illumi’s discomfort like a shark scenting blood. “Illu,” he croons. “I was starting to worry that you weren’t going to show.”

Summary
Illumi arrives at the job early, he had made sure of it, and as such is mildly putout when he finds Hisoka bent in odd angles against a shiny black car. Hisoka spins the keys around one long finger, and Illumi squints against the light.
“Hisoka,” he says, somewhat light, somewhat surprised, and stops before him. “I hope you’re being paid to be here.”
