He should have thought about this, but he was just too damn caught up in his dad and brother being alive, and Harcourt giving him those sweet, soft looks that it just kept slipping his mind. But now he’s here in the Fennel Fields parking lot and the ugly, tan-ass piece of shit Sebring is here so he already knows his chances at an uneventful date night are screwed.

Before learning what Earth X really is, Chris and Emilia have a nice dinner date planned at Fennel Fields. Chris isn’t too surprised this dimension has an Adrian variant, or even that he’s the local Italian restaurant’s busboy. But he sure wasn’t expecting Vigilante to make an appearance, and for some reason he’s dead set on murdering Chris’s ass. Tonight.
Set vaguely in Season 2, between Episode 5 and 6.

Emilia waits in the doorway, watching. Chris throws her a smug smirk when he looks over his shoulder and catches her checking him out. Then he turns the corner and it's the last that she sees of him for over a month.
And if she'd known that at the time, Emilia would have chased him down and dragged him by his belt loop back to her place, whatever bullshit, take it slow promises be damned.

Chris disappears again and Emilia expects to spend her time working to get him back, not trying to keep Adrian on a leash, like he's some kind of shelter dog waiting for his owner to return. She also doesn’t expect to end up not minding it as much as she thinks she should.
