Dehya had had roommates before, and this was so not it.
"I'm just gonna say what everyone is secretly thinking," Dehya said. She leaned forward on her elbows, rested her chin on her hands with a serious expression on her face - but not without a hint of a bold smile.
"Alhaitham… are you in love with Kaveh?"
Everyone's eyes went wide and jaws dropped at Dehya's extremely forward question. And then, of course, all eyes went immediately to Alhaitham.

Alhaitham confirmed Kaveh's thoughts before he could speak them aloud. "I believe we've found our temple."
"Really?" Kaveh's heart soared. "Oh, this is incredible! To think it was locked in a Domain this entire time... that must be how it escaped Deshret's grief-stricken rampage! Alhaitham, we —" He froze when he looked over and saw the deep grimace settling on his companion's features. "... what? What is it?"
"You might not be able to read what it says, but I can." He closed his eyes, clearing his throat before he translated aloud:
"To receive the Goddess' blessing,
all desires must be embraced,
all secrets must become truths,
and all flesh must become one."Kaveh's excitement deflated like an overripe Harra Fruit. "Oh... don't tell me that means what I think it means...!"

Summary
It was just a random day. Kaveh was going about his daily errands, just being a productive and functional adult, when he crossed paths with Tighnari. Life had kept them busy, so it had been a while since they had last met up. Because of this, they decided to complete this little stretch of errands together. Nothing wrong with that—Kaveh was even looking forward to it a little. Last time they did actually get together, it was a dinner joined by Cyno and Alhaitham. It was nice to not have a conversation derailed with a stupid joke or Alhaitham bringing his… Alhaitham-ness.

Kaveh stopped walking when Mehrak chirped up by side to read out… whatever it was his mechanical friend just said. Why just out of nowhere, why update him on this—and what’s the point of telling him he lost zero points!?
Or: Kaveh finds himself in an odd otome game where Mehrak is trying to set him up with one of his friends, but why does Alhaitham's name keep popping up?
