Summary
Kim Dokja, the Demon King of Salvation, who has died so many times under his disciple Yoo Joonghyuk’s hands, gets reincarnated in the modern world and finds out that his whole life was just a ‘story’ where he was the main villain. While Yoo Joonghyuk, the half-human half-angel disciple mistreated by his master, was the ‘destined’ hero who didn’t have a happy ending anyway.
Angered by this mistreatment to both of them, when Kim Dokja dies and reincarnates as his ‘Demon King’ self once again, he decides to just… give up and not get in Yoo Joonghyuk’s way anymore.
He’ll do his job as the ‘villain’ of this story properly, so the ‘hero’ can live his own life.

The sight of pure unadulterated glee on Iwaizumi's face and Oikawa running up to hug him at their victory was when Tobio realized and understood that to watch them from the sidelines was the farthest he could go. Any closer and he'd end up tainting that beautiful dynamic and Tobio would never be able to forgive himself if it came to that.
And so an obedient and idolizing kouhai he shall remain.

Tobio frowns, picking up on Oikawa’s disappointed tone, “Miyazaki-san can be a bit weird, but he’s nice. He always carries my books for me and tells me my art projects look good.”
Now it’s Iwaizumi’s turn to frown. Well, that’s…not good.
