Jayce leaned his side against the wall, his bigger body facing him fully.
“I’m Jayce.” He said, jutting a hand out to him, a bit too friendly for his previous dismissiveness.
Viktor stared blankly at his fingers. He was not keen on people who had changes of heart so quickly, as it was the most fickle instrument the body housed. He would almost rather have had him continue his chain of rudeness.
“Oh, I know who you are.”
Jayce preened, taking it as a compliment. “So, you know that I don’t do this often.” He gestured between them, dropping his hand onto his cocked hip, like he was charming.

Summary
“D’you even feel that? Huh?” The adrenaline rushing through Giopara's body kept him up as he tried to bash Viktor’s head into the concrete a third time, but he got elbowed. Jayce was spun around and slammed against the wall of the alley that he had just been pushing Viktor into. With one fluid motion from Viktor, Jayce was down on his knees, gasping to regain his breath from the punch.
“Yes. Yes I fucking felt that, Jayce.” Viktor hissed. His accent curled beautifully around the words, despite his rage (the rage made his accent even hotter). “Do you feel this?” He delivered a sharp slap to Jayce’s cheek with his flesh hand.
Jayce moaned. Both of them froze.

Summary
“Is that… you, Viktor?”
It was barely more than a whisper, but he almost couldn’t bring himself to ask in the first place. The question scared him, the coming answer he feared even more. He knew the question was callous and loaded, but he had to know.
Those warm eyes faltered and became reproachful, they averted with a look of guilt, his eyebrows scrunching together. Viktor hugged his good knee tighter to his chest, his short and shallow breathing and his tightened lips betraying the hurt he felt at the question. The creases at the side of his nose deepened in dismay in the way only Viktor's face suited. All of these things told Jayce everything he needed desperately to know; this wasn’t the serene herald, or even the maniacal machine herald.
This was Viktor.
