Bella was bitten by a Child of the Moon when she was ten and has been missing, presumed dead for 17 years. She has managed to make do and is now 27, considering reuniting with her still living, still grieving father when she meets the Cullen family. The Cullens have spread out across Washington state doing different things (because going to high school forever is stupid) and are close allies, even friends, of the Quileute shifters and tribe. Invented my own Children of the Moon lore because why not, it's my fic. Slightly changed Jasper's back story because I'm not writing a fic with a proud confederate in it. A modified version of the events from the canon involving James, Laurent, and Victoria are used as the reason the Quileute and the Cullens are on significantly better terms in my story than in the original. Set in 2015. The Volturi are the big bad.

Summary
It starts as many do. Edward leaves taking his family with him. Bella was distraught though with the support of her father she decides enough is enough and it's time she took back her own life and fought for her own happiness. To do so she decides to get away for a while by joining a nature group in the Amazonian forest. It's a chance for her to clear her mind and refocus her goals. It's free from stress and most importantly far far away from the supernatural right?
Wrong. No one ever told her of the Amazon's. A coven of three ancient, extremely powerful vampires that have lived in the forest for centuries and of course as is always her luck Bella seems to come face to face with brilliant red eyes in the dead of night.
