“Ava.” She pulled a hand away from the leaning tower of cases to offer it in the general direction of the three staring back at her. Mary looked at Lilith. Lilith looked at Mary. Both of them looked at Beatrice. Beatrice stood, unmoving, in silence.
“What a warm welcome.”

Summary
When Camila had first suggested a triple date Lilith hadn’t expected it to feel so… crowded.
Five minutes into the film and Ava had cuddled up into Beatrice’s personal space. Beatrice had merely lifted her arms and given Ava more comfortable accesss, as if this were an ordinary, every day, gesture. Lilith can still see them from the corner of her eye, Ava basically in Beatrice’s lap.
Ten minutes into the film and Mary and Shannon had left the room without any pretense, only offering a “Have fun kids” as they disappeared down the hall into one of the bedrooms.
It’s thirty minutes into the film now and Lilith still sits in the space spot, her back rigid against the couch and her hands clasped firmly on her lap. There’s a clamminess to them that she isn’t used to. Camila shifts beside her— there’s still a whole gap between them that may as well be an entire ocean at this point.
OR
Lilith finally works up the courage to cuddle her new girlfriend.

Summary
“No, fuck off, stop,” Ava sputters, dragging herself weakly away by the one arm she can move, lower body leaden and stiff. “Don’t touch me.”
Lilith, weirdly to her credit, at least hesitates. She doesn’t actually listen, presumably because hell hasn’t frozen over, but she pauses a moment before continuing her approach towards Ava.
“Calm down,” Lilith says, voice crisp and accented like a Disney movie villain. She steps closer, kicking up dust Ava can taste on the back of her tongue, and leans down, pulling one of Ava’s arms over her shoulders, sliding one of her own arms beneath Ava’s knees, hoisting her upward with complete and total ease. Like lifting a sack of potatoes.
Ava thrashes, as much as she can (which isn’t much), heart thundering in her ears. “I said stop! Lilith!”
“Ow!” Lilith yelps, jerking her head away and scowling down at Ava. “Did you just bite me?”

Ava needs a little help getting out of a tough situation. She would really prefer if that help could come from anyone besides Lilith.
