Sequel to Notice
Kyojuro invites Tanjiro to his manor the day after Shinobu's investigation. The plan: to train and then ask Tanjiro if he can court him.
Kyojuro's haori provides some (needed) complications to that plan.
Alternatively: Tanjiro ends up alone with Kyojuro's haori, smells it, and get caught. Consequences ensue (like dressing up in one boisterous hashira's haori and a first kiss).

The truth is (something that Aoi would never admit out loud) the hashira are such a pain in the ass; they're the worst type of patients, they refuse to let the kakushi or the girls touch them, and they usually do an awful job when they try to patch themselves up. That's why some of them have ugly looking scars all over their bodies.
So that afternoon, when Aoi watches Tomioka walk in with an open wound on his arm, she sighs. And then immediately worries about Tanjirou as everyone else around because she doesn't want the Pillars to be rude to him; he doesn't deserve it.
She tries to distract Tanjirou or send him somewhere else, but it's really too late; the boy is already walking towards the water hashira.

Tanjirou's chest hurts. As if hands painfully constrict his lungs, then gradually release their grip. Finger by finger, letting go.
Kyoujurou is looking at him fondly. With a warm, confident demeanor that rekindles the sharp pain in his gut and anguish in his chest. The man's respectful disposition, coupled by an inexplicable fondness, had willed Kamado to attach himself to his senior's side so effortlessly. That same naturally resolute temperament that had lulled him into a false sense of security and assurance. Back then, the Hashira stood so tall that he'd seemed untouchable.
Tanjirou had grown attached too quickly.
