“I refuse to endure hours of being surrounded by a bunch of idiots wielding sharp objects,” Katsuki goes on to explain with obvious exasperation, “I didn’t skip out on my own school just to have the same chances of being stabbed by some fumbling dolt over here, alright? So just put me in whatever course those guys are not.”
He points right at shitty Deku’s direction, who he thinks more or less embodies everything Katsuki has ever wanted to punch in his life. Deku stares at him in disbelief, which quickly shifts to outrage when Katsuki flips him off with the same pointing finger.
“That can be arranged,” Captain Aizawa retorts dryly. “Welcome to Border camp, Cadet Bakugou.”
“Cadet?” Katsuki fucking knew it. This is 100% a military operation.

Obito felt eyes on him and glanced to his side to see Kakashi looking at him expectantly.
“What?” Obito raised an eyebrow.
“I asked them to hang out,” Kakashi stated the obvious, still giving Obito that very expectant look, and ducking his head slightly while still looking up at him. “I’m…trying to be more social.”
Obito’s eyes widened in surprise.
So not sick. Kakashi was…just trying to be a better friend.
Huh.
Obito felt the sudden urge to reach out and ruffle Kakashi’s hair, seeing at how Kakashi was in perfect range to do so, but he forced himself to hold back. The last thing he wanted was for Kakashi to think he was being condescending.
OR: Kakashi loves head pats and hair ruffles. Obito provides said head pats and hair ruffles until he thinks it bothers Kakashi. Now Kakashi is determined to make it happen again, through any means besides just asking.

They'd been in love as cadets, but a relationship is hard to maintain from half-a-galaxy and a war-front away. "In love" feels… too simplistic for what it was, for how badly it hurt when their deployments came down, for the distance that Cody never really stopped feeling, as prevalent as the ache in his skull along the lines of his scar. A grief carried around every second of every day like a missing limb doesn't fit inside the words "in love". But those are the only words that Cody has—clones don't say the riduurok.
