Summary
The man hovering over him leaned back, releasing Grian completely. Cold night air rushed in to fill the void.
“I guess it’s out in the open now,” the stranger hummed. “Shame. I wanted to avoid this.”
With the additional glow occupying the space between them, Grian was finally able to catch features that were lost in the prior darkness. His curiosity outweighed all else, and he drank them in greedily. As soon as he saw who sat across from him, alarms blared in his mind.
This man wasn’t a civilian, wasn’t even a hero.
“Hello, Doctor,” the villain mused. “You were quite the help today.”

He just stopped messaging me. That’s fine. I can deal with that, but he isn’t missing, and he certainly isn’t dead.” Mumbo wasn’t shaking. He wasn’t. Because it could not possibly be true.Or
Grian goes missing during his time in the Evolution SMP. Mumbo is left with no idea of what happened to his boyfriend. A year after his last contact with Grian, he arrives on the Hermitcraft server in critical condition, and for some reason, with wings that Mumbo is 90% sure weren’t there before. What’s more is he refuses to talk about what happened. It only gets worse after a portion of the server goes missing, with Grian seemingly being the only one who remembers anything about it. And who knows what the hell is going on with Scar?

Grian has gone through a lot, on his own. He's consistently alone, but he has to accept it. When all of a sudden, during an escape from the Watchers, he stumbles across The Hermits. Will they be able to save him? Both from himself and the past that haunts him?
Through emotional turmoil, slow acceptances, clutches of the past, and loving embraces, he finds love. Love, that he has wished for, for his entire life.
They stick with him through thick and thin, but what happens if they find out what he is?
This is the story of Grian, the runaway watcher, but more importantly, The Hermit.

Summary
What started out as a joke quickly turned into something more devastating.
None of the Hermits were excited for this exchange program, in honesty it sounded stupid to force them out of their well comforted school and home. Scar's friends weren't exactly happy he was the one picked for their social experiment either.
It ended up leading to a rabbit hole of a missing person's case, a teacher's suspicious death, ghosts, and a boy who adamantly refuses to where his uniform.
Scar didn't expect to uncover a cold case when he changed schools.
