When Billy came back online, his body was intact save for the busted regulator in his brain. He got a quick scan to confirm no bleeding in the brain and then was on his merry way back to the Cunning Hares base. His revolvers were already there when he arrived, placed exactly as he liked them, and there was a note stuck to the cover of one of his “light novels.”
“Get well soon, and throw out these books — Wise & Belle.”
Billy laughed to himself. “I should go visit them.”
Oh, no… The Girls thought, and then the locker was shut.

Bozhena hadn't expected to spent her evening caring for two gravely injured strangers, but she couldn't exactly turn them away when one had so desperately begged her to help his friend and then thrown himself at an armed bandit just to protect him. If the way the blond one had then outright insisted on sleeping on the ground to allow his friend more comfort was anything to go off of, he was certainly a very special friend.
Or: why Henry wakes up on a nice comfortable bed in Bozhena's cabin and Hans wakes up on a pile of straw.
