I read some very handy writer's block advice lately: throw things out. Kill your darlings. If something's taking up space in your mind and dragging you down, cut it loose. That doesn't have to mean destroying it completely, it just means putting it in a box marked 'abandoned' and letting it go. This is my abandoned box: fics that I started, in various states of semi-completion, that I find it highly unlikely I will ever finish and ought to stop giving valuable space in my mind. RIP.
